So in a little over a week we're going to be playing the first night of our Eastern Canada tour for "Low Light High Light", and listen: we're getting pretty randy about how this show is turning out. First, we're playing it with a band we met in April that have become fast friends of ours, The Jimmyriggers; if you haven't checked their stuff out, you seriously need to. It's melodic, it's well-written, it's well-sung - it's what you want. In fact, go listen. Then come back and read the rest.
Seriously. I'll wait until you're back. Go.
Secondly, when we were putting the show together they suggested the idea of donating a portion of the proceeds to a great Montreal charity called Head and Hands, which after researching for just a few minutes, we discovered was well worth supporting. They focus on physical and mental health for young people, providing services for them, etc. Very cool. So we're thrilled to be able to do some good things with this show, not the least of which is to share a stage with our friends again, and bring what we've quite modestly dubbed "The Champagne of Canadian Roots-Rock" to our pals and supporters in La Belle Province. So mark down Wed. the 11th in your calendars at Petit Campus - 57 Prince Arthur E. Hope to see you there!
